Just graduated from high school and due to commence study in linguistics, Julian walked onto a road and was hit head-on by a car. Julian suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. As part of his rehabilitation, Julian started translation Synapse publications into his native tongue - Spanish. Julian now volunteers at Synapse 3 days a week translating our Bridge magazines. Julian is passionate about spreading a message of hope, particularly to other young people who find themselves suddenly living with a disability: "If you're a young person with an ABI don't feel down or sad or destroyed because everything will improve, everyday you are alive you are blessed. Be strong." Read more of Julian's story here.
