Learning and Development Advisor - Part time

5 days per fortnight (negotiable)

Synapse is a national organisation dedicated to reconnecting the lives of those affected by a neurocognitive disability. We do this through excellence in services delivered with integrity, fairness and a vision for what the future for people with neurocognitive disability could be.

About the role

As part of the People and Culture team, you will be responsible for working collaboratively across multiple sites to provide technical and practical expert support, and guidance as follows:


Learning and Development

  • Design, develop and facilitate various L&D initiatives and training programs (including webinars, e-learning and face to face programs,
  • Develop and facilitate new starter induction programs,
  • Refine, implement and review training manuals, programs and materials as required;
  • Accountable for a variety of L&D projects
  • Advise on any skill or performance gaps affecting people capability and organisational effectiveness, and
  • Maintain HR/L&D systems and training records, ensuring accuracy at all times


About the successful applicant

As the successful applicants you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Disability sector experience,
  • Proven experience in developing L&D systems, with the ability to demonstrate creativity and initiative,
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and administering systems and reporting processes,
  • Demonstrated experience in providing strategic and operational input into current business processes,
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and communication of improved process and strategy,
  • Relevant tertiary level qualifications,
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with attention to detail,  
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Suite and LMS capability, and
  • Ability to travel interstate as and when required.
