Strengthening diversity of our product base, enabling more people and communities to be reached Innovation through differentiated products and practices Fostering collaboration and relationships that strengthen national reach and social impact As a member of the Executive team, this role works at the highest strategic level to connect Synapse with its stakeholders and develop relationships that facilitate the new strategic vision in a complex and changing environment. Overall scope includes developing, executing and overseeing strategies to enhance and promote Synapse's profile, messaging and branding, fundraising and philanthropy, and advocacy. The key responsibilities of this role are; Stakeholder mapping and high level branding and messaging strategy Directing the development and implementation of internal and external Strategic Communication strategies, including B2C marketing, advocacy, fundraising and public affairs Overseeing creation of relevant and quality content to support the Strategic Communication strategy as well as supporting other activities of the business Initiating, developing and executing events nationally that promote Synapse's work to stakeholders, and representing Synapse on occasion To be successful in this role you will have; Minimum of eight years relevant professional experience in strategic communications, advocacy, public relations, fundraising and corporate affairs Demonstrated leadership capability and strong track record in strategic thinking Demonstrated expertise in contemporary Strategic Communication processes and principles Ability to work with a high level of autonomy, as well as part of a team nationally Ability to confidently build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders Application steps If you wish to receive a copy of the position description or require further information, please email recruitment@synapse.org.au.
