Project Coordinator - Sexual Lives and Respectful Relationships (SL&RR) Program

Synapse is a national organisation dedicated to reconnecting the lives of those affected by a neurocognitive disability. We do this through excellence in services delivered with integrity, fairness and a vision for what the future for people with neurocognitive disability could be.

The Project Coordinator role is a fixed term contract for up to 12 month.  As the Project Coordinator you will coordinate all tasks required to ensure the timely delivery of the outputs and the outcomes of the SL&RR program, as detailed in the approved program plan. The successful candidate will preferably have current experience working in similar programs and project coordination roles, as well as experience working with individuals who may have experienced brain injury, domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, involvement within the criminal justice system, and individuals from cultural and gender diverse backgrounds.

To be successful in this role, you will need to;

  • Liaise with relevant community agencies and people with ABI to generate awareness of and interest in the SL&RR Program

  • Develop and maintain collaborative and effective stakeholder relationships that contribute to successful project delivery

  • Coordinate and work closely with the Project Development and Advisory Group, Peer Educators and Deakin University to ensure the successful completion of the project and achievement of required outcomes within set timeframes

  • Coordinate all resources and materials required for successful project completion

  • Monitor and enhance the quality and efficiency of the SL&RR program development

  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks and budgets

  • Current Australian Drivers licence

  • A cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain

  • Current National Criminal History Check (cleared within the last 12 months) or ability to obtain.

  • 36.25 hour work week with the option for a fortnightly RDO
