"Come & Connect" is an opportunity to make social
connections, as well as receive support in a group setting.
In these sessions we work with people to explore moods, feelings
and emotions arising after brain injury that can be challenging. We
then look at how to make positive change in your life. People also
have a chance to learn about neuroplasticity and how it may assist
you in achieving your goals.
With the roll out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
(NDIS), we are also holding events to help people understand this
big change to the way the disability support system works.
Synapse ILC events are held in the Sydney metropolitan area, as
well as regional, rural and remote areas of NSW across the course
of each year. Contact us to find out when we'll be in a location
near you. Or ask us about other ways to receive information and
support remotely through the use of technology.
Synapse also delivers training on brain injury, as well as brain
injury awareness raising activities, to the community and service
providers. We can deliver workshops or arrange expert guest
speakers on topics related to brain injury.
Training topics may include:
- Understanding brain injury
- Understanding behavioural changes after brain injury
- Preparing for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
as a Service Provider
