Accordingly, Synapse delivers customised training programs on topics relating to Brain Disorders, including Brain Injury and the trauma associated with it. We also provide training on stroke, which is based on the "lived experience" of the people we support. Who would benefit from Synapse Training? We can provide seminars, workshops, guest speakers or videoconferencing. Our training materials can also be made available by post. Training topics include: Understanding Brain Injury/ Brain Disorders Understanding behavioural changes after Brain Injury Networking/ community linking Goal-setting for people with a disability Preparing for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We also work with Aboriginal organisations to deliver culturally appropriate training for Indigenous Australians, including in rural and remote areas.
