About the Role

Synapse is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join the team in NSW to establish and manage strategic partnerships and to deliver complex projects. 

The System Engagement Lead will work closely with the NSW State Manager to engage with stakeholders and manage all key departmental connections for Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) projects. You will be responsible for mapping system interface issues as they relate to individuals impacted by Brain Injury or disability. You will coordinate key relationships and connections throughout Government Departments and make recommendations about future development and advocacy agenda.


Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience and skills delivering significant projects with relevant experience working across a range of systems and sectors, including Government

  • Tertiary qualification in Health, Social Science, or a related area relevant to the role, or demonstrable equivalent experience

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as self-motivated to work independently

  • Demonstrated understanding of community engagement strategies and approaches

  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills including proven ability to exercise sound judgement in facilitating stakeholder engagement

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Government protocols, systems and processes, for example with Corrective Services, Department of Housing, Child Protection, NDIS. 

  • High level computer skills including demonstrated experience with Windows based packages, email and internet


This role is being offered on a 6-month contract and will be primarily based in Parramatta NSW. Travel is likely to be required throughout NSW.
