Synapse to Develop an Online Brain Injury Information Hub

After recently being awarded an Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) grant from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Synapse - Australia's Brain Injury Organisation, is working with the brain injury and disability community across Australia to deliver a unique, comprehensive brain injury Information Hub.

The Information Hub is being developed as part of the SynapseConnect project which aims to provide those impacted by a brain injury or working in the field improved access to the information, services and connections required to build their knowledge and increase capacity.

Synapse CEO, Jennifer Cullen said, "The SynapseConnect Information Hub will build on our 35-year history delivering specialist brain injury information and referral services allowing us to take advantage of the latest technology to reach audiences nationally. Individuals with a brain injury and their carers will inform the design of the new information hub to ensure that it is as relevant, accessible and user friendly as possible."

Taking a codesign approach to the development of the Information Hub, SynapseConnect is currently engaging with a wide range of communities across the country. The insights gained through this process are being combined with Synapse existing brain injury knowledge and the expertise of web development professionals to guide design and development.

With the SynapseConnect project in full swing, we are calling on individuals impacted by brain injury, their carers and industry professionals to provide feedback and keep up to date with progress.

Opportunities to participate will range from simple online surveys to community specific face-to-face group sessions. Project updates will also be provided at key milestones to reflect on the feedback we receive and present hub design concepts.

We encourage you to sign up to participate in the SynapseConnect project today. Select your desired level of involvement and have your say in the development of this exciting new resource for those impacted by brain injury.
