The Synapse Brain Injury Network brings together brain injury professionals in various locations across the country to connect and share knowledge with the goal of improving outcomes for people impacted by brain injury and their families. At our NSW event, you’ll connect, get to know each other and the services we provide, as well as hear from our amazing guest speakers (see more details below).

Candice Care-Unger – Social Worker and Accredited Psychosexual Therapist
Candice has more than 17 years’ experience in the rehabilitation, disability, and injury sector. She has a Bachelor of Social Work, Master’s in public health and Graduate Diploma in sexual health and reproduction (Psychosexual Therapy). She currently works as the Royal Rehab Sexuality Services Team Leader.
Melanie Moses – Speech Pathologist
Dr Melanie Moses is a speech pathologist with 23 years of experience working with people with acquired brain injury. After working for many years in the public sector, Melanie currently works privately with adults with TBI who live across the Sydney metro as well as rural and remote regions. She is passionate about delivering practical interventions, and enjoys working collaboratively with other therapists, family and support teams to achieve meaningful and participant-centered goals.
