Synapse Reconnections WA for Family, Friends, Carers (online) – December 2022

Reconnections WA (family, friends & carers) meet ups are for family members, friends &/or carers of people with a brain injury to connect with other loved ones of people living with brain injury.

These groups will provide the opportunity to chat and share some of your challenges, victories, and tips & tricks. Come and learn from other people’s stories and hear about different experiences of brain injury and issues that are important to you. You will be in a supportive space with people who understand. We look forward to seeing you.

Guest Speaker: We will play a recorded series by Michelle Nunn (Outpatient OT; State ABI Rehab unit) presenting information on the impacts on executive functioning (eg: impulsivity, planning, problem solving, organising, memory, attention and stress management) from acquiring a brain injury and possible support strategies.

These meet ups will be bi-monthly alternating between online only and a combination of face-to-face and online. The face-to-face meetings will be accessible online for those that can’t get to the venue.

Light refreshments will be provided at the face-to-face meet ups however you are welcome to bring your own lunch if you would like to. There is a bus stop out the front of the venue on Sandgate St. Free parking onsite.
