Queensland Ballet warmly invites the brain injury community to their home in West End, to join them in-studio for a Ballet for Brain Injury Taster class and social morning tea on their stunning Kite Terrace, to mark 2025 Brain Injury Awareness Week. This event is offered at no cost to participants who are new to the Ballet for Brain Injury program, and you are invited to bring along a friend, family member or support person with you to join in on the fun too! Space are limited, so please RSVP using the booking form here. Community members are encouraged to attend both the class and the morning tea, but you can also choose to only attend the morning tea if that feels more comfortable to you. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet both the regular Ballet for Brain Injury participants and others living with brain injury in Brisbane.

Piloted in 2021, Ballet for Brain Injury is a tailored dance program for people living with a brain injury. Underpinned by research and delivered by experienced Queensland Ballet Teaching Artists, these classes invite participants to experience the health and wellbeing benefits of dance. Dance has been shown to help people surviving brain injury to re-inhabit their bodies and cope with emotional, cognitive and physical impairments that can result from a brain injury.
