Synapse Ambassadors

At Synapse, we believe that real change begins with lived experience and strong voices in the community. Our Ambassadors are individuals who bring passion, insight and personal experience to help raise awareness and understanding of brain injury across Australia.

Synapse Ambassadors help build understanding, create more inclusive communities, and stand alongside others by sharing real experiences and speaking up for change.

What does a Synapse Ambassador do?

Synapse Ambassadors work alongside our team to support our mission to ensure the rights of people impacted by brain injury are upheld. They do this by:

  • Raising public awareness of brain injury and its impacts
  • Sharing personal stories to challenge misconceptions
  • Representing Synapse at events, in media, or online
  • Supporting campaigns, research, and community engagement
  • Advocating for inclusive services and accessible support

Why it matters

Brain injury affects 1 in 45 Australians, yet it remains widely misunderstood. Ambassadors help make this invisible disability visible by building a stronger, more connected community where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and no one feels alone on their journey.

Meet our Ambassadors

Our Ambassadors come from all walks of life and each brings a unique perspective and contribution to our community.
