Synapse Announced as Finalists for HESTA Excellence Awards
We are thrilled to announce that we have been nominated for the inaugural 2020 HESTA Excellence Awards!
The HESTA Excellence Awards recognise exceptional achievements in a range of settings across aged care, allied health, community services and disability services. Synapse has been nominated for Outstanding Organisation in Disability Services, a testament to the hard work of our committed staff.
We have been recognised for providing a range of services plus the promotion of quality of life, self-determination and choice through information, specialist housing and supports, services, advocacy and research for the 1 in 45 Australians who have been impacted by brain injury. Much of the recognition for this nomination has come from building Australia’s first and only purpose-built, culturally responsive housing for Indigenous Australians impacted by brain injury and complex disability, the Warner Street Community.
All the nominees – including us – can be seen on the HESTA website.
If you fancy tuning into the awards they will be presented via broadcast at 7pm (AEDT), 6pm in Qld on Thursday, 26 November at awards.hesta.tv.
