In 1995 Helen completed the APPWA Diploma in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. She has significant training in psychoanalytic approaches to group and organisational functioning and uses this in her consulting work with management teams, managers and clinicians. She has also worked in the public community and hospital mental health sector in Perth.

Helen currently works in private practice as a Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist and as a supervisor and consultant to a range of health professionals and managers. Helen attributes most of her learning to her clients.
