Expanding Our Family Liaison Service

Synapse Family Liaison Officers provide practical support and information to family members and carers of people who have brain injury.

Our Family Liaison Service has recently expanded, and is currently available in the Dubbo, Illawarra, Hunter and Mid-North Coast regions in New South Wales, and in Brisbane, Queensland.

Our Family Liaison Officers have personal experience with brain injury and understand the complexities faced by family members and carers of people who have brain injury. They help by providing practical support and information to family members and carers of people who have been impacted by brain injury. We can help guide family members and carers through the challenges of receiving a diagnosis, navigating the hospital and rehabilitation experience and transitioning from hospital back into the community.

They provide ongoing emotional support post-hospital both in person and over the phone, support families and carers with accessing services in the community and answer questions about community and government supports.

This service is free and provides continuous support for carers dealing with a stream of new services across multiple systems.

The Synapse Family Liaison Service is not subject to eligibility requirements of government initiatives such as NDIS, My Aged Care etc. To enquire about this service, please contact us on 1800 673 074 or contact us below.
